WOW!!!

"What I really want to do is to be able to change the lives of a group of people with the same materials that they deal with everyday." This mission took renowned artist Vix Muniz on a journey from his home in Brooklyn, New York to his native Brazil and the world's largest rubbish dump, Jardim Gramacho, on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro.
Receiving numerous awards, including the Audience Award for Best World Cinema Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival and the Amnesty International Human Rights Film Award at the 2010 Berlin Film Festival, Waste Land provides stirring evidence of the transformative power of art and the alchemy of the human spirit.
